One: Planning
Flawless performances begin with an in-depth understanding of your event, goals, program, and venue. Weddings and other complex events require significant attention to detail. If you are hosting a complex event, we will typically meet with you and your wedding or event planner, if you are using one, at your event venue. We will discuss your expectations, what you want from the musical performance, the role music will play in the broader picture of your special event, and how your event will unfold within your venue. You can count on us to make recommendations to help your live music add even more to your event. Discussing your event in detail and “walking” through your event program at your venue helps us anticipate and address potential glitches or pitfalls to help ensure your event runs smoothly.
We strive to ensure your pre-event experience is as pleasurable for you as our live musical performance will be for your guests.
Two: Communication
- Venue’s banquet manager about logistical details such as load-in procedures, parking, and other fine details to ensure your event runs smoothly.
- Musicians about music and logistical details, including what to do and where to go from the moment they leave their house for your venue, where to load in, park their vehicle, your event room, whether they will be fed, and contact information.
- Other event vendors if such coordination is necessary.
Providing thorough details early in the process helps ensure we can address any questions well in advance for a smooth performance and event.
